Avengers lead Division II

The top four teams of the Vitamalt Division II league go straight into best of three semi-final matches. At time of writing of this piece, new champions, La Plaine Avengers and Mahaut Gators had taken 1-nil leads in their semi-final clashes.

Avengers easily conquered Police by 20 points with a 60-44 point win. Roderick Blaize led for the champions with 16 points with Ridge Blaize adding 15. Andy Celaire led all scorers with 17 for Police.

Gators had a much more difficult time versus Elvis Welding Services Green Hornets. They trailed by 20 points at one stage in the contest, but their fight back was such they were able to steal the match 76 to 72. For the victorious Gators, Sheldon Burnette got 22 and Peter Simon 16; and for Hornets, Jacqueve Colaire scored 25, Edgar George 17 and Dwayne Registe 11.
