Lagoon Rules Domino in Dominica
Lagoon reign supreme as the best domino team in Dominica after winning their third successive Mackeson Stout & Carib Beer Domino League which is the biggest domino competition in Dominica where teams compete for bragging rights in 2013.
In a gripping and tense final before hundreds of domino fans, the Lagoon players from Portsmouth kept their composure to beat Rockers from Paix Bouche by 135 points (Lagoon 4007 to Rockers 3872) to clinch that coveted title.
Fans of both teams noisily supported but Lagoon registered two late loves on Rockers down the stretch to secure the victory to which Lagoon fans went wild.
In the third place match of Mahaut teams, Mount Zion destroyed Smarts Boys by 968 points. Scores: Mount Zion 4013, Smart Boys 3045.
In semi-final action, Lagoon mauled Mount Zion 4,031 points to 2,996 and Rockers easily disposed of Smart Boys 4,006-3,506.
