Prowlers' good start continues
Ballorama champions, Dr Mac Prowlers, are off to a good start in the DOMLEC Premier League of the Lime National Basketball League with their second win at the expense of current champions, Signman X-Men.
It was another tough contest for Prowlers who won over Paix Bouche Eagles, 71-68, but had to go into extra time against the champions after staging a late rally to catch up with X-Men and eventual go into extra time at 64-64. The scores were tied at 72-72 with 1.4 seconds remaining. Craig St Rose scored one of his two free throws, and that one point was the difference, 73 -72. St Rose finished with 21 points, Fitzgerald Daniel 18 and Ronald Bruno 12; and for X-Men, Peter Ricketts had a match high 25 points. Simon Joseph added 14 and Joseph Hypolite 12.
Division II
La Plaine Avengers thrashed Ronald Charles Rangers of Trafalgar by 71-38 in a Vitamalt Division II League match. Ridge Blaize got 14 points for Avengers with Harris St Ville and Roderick Blaize 12 each. And for Rangers, Randy Dejean scored 12 points and Clinton Charles 10.
